Meet the Founder & Director

Robin Cruz, founder of Casey’s Place, established the organization in loving memory of her late son, Casey Babovec. As a Certified Life Coach with a deep passion for serving at-risk children, Robin recognized a significant gap in emotional and spiritual support for youth in need. Inspired by her own life experiences, she envisioned Casey’s Place as a sanctuary for “soul rehabilitation” — a place where children can heal, grow, and rediscover hope.
Drawing on her extensive experience working with animals, Robin integrates their natural ability to serve as spiritual healers into the heart of the program. Her mission is to reach children living in shelters, group homes, or other environments that fail to meet their emotional and spiritual needs — offering consistent, year-round support and care.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and volunteers, Robin is proud to open the doors of Casey’s Place and make a lasting difference in the lives of all the “little fighters” who deserve love, healing, and a brighter future.
