Our Youth Equine Discovery Program specializes in beginners and student safety is our ultimate priority. The Riding School is for students age 6-17. Students will rotate through different learning centers which may include, but are not limited to; tacking (putting equipment on the horse), washing and grooming, anatomy of a horse, saddle and bridle, feeding and daily riding lessons. Classes are taught in a group format with 2-5 kids in each group, twice a week.
Cost & Schedule
The cost of classes is $200 per month. That includes 8 classes (2 ~ 2 hour classes per week).
Assistants are available when a student needs one-on-one time during the lesson to master a particular skill.
A portion of the fee from every riding lesson goes to help support our camps and programs for the at-risk children of Kaufman County. We also accept donations.
What Our Clients Are Saying
"Casey's Place has given our kids a glimpse into a side of life they will probably never see again. The "farm" life offers so many opportunities for social/emotional growth and development, as well as learning opportunities for community responsibility for our world. What a blessing it has been." -LaReta Williams Administrative Director Kaufman County Children's Emergency Shelter
